Chinese Dragon Boat Festival Board the United Nations List

Recently, the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for the fourth meeting of the United Arab Emirates Abu Dhabi, considered and approved the inclusion of “human Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage,” the 76 projects, China’s “Dragon Boat Festival,” the name out of them.

This is China’s first elected non-material cultural heritage festival in the world.

According to Xinhua News Agency, in addition to the Dragon Boat Festival, China declared opera, calligraphy, seal cutting, paper cutting and other 22 projects were approved included in the list.

Central China Normal University, Shou-Hua Liu, said: “As early as in the North Zhou awe-struck,” Jing Chu at the age of mind “, in relation to complete a vivid record of the Dragon Boat Festival custom, the success of selection is a genuine, be welcomed.”
